Tickets for Leeds Festivals are on sale

The countdown for 2013 Leeds Festival starts from today. Tickets for this festival are available online and you can collect them from the venue. The first act of the festival has been announced along with some other vital announcements which even include new stages and site layouts.

Tickets are available for sale. Fans are advised to secure their places for the festival because huge crowd is expected. This festival will surely cement Leed’s reputation as one of UK’s entertainment capital.
Owner of the Leeds based Crash records, Mr. Ian De-Whytell said that this festival has always been popular and this time everyone is waiting eagerly to watch arena as Leed’s new landmark. Ian says that from the phone calls and e-mails that they are receiving, it can be predicted that Leeds will witness a huge crowd as everyone is looking forward to appear at this festival.

Organizer of the show Melvin Benn said that this is the right time for the festival. He added that not only are they providing a fresh look next year but are also planning to add something more for the fans.  The Addition of hip-hop stage and extension of dance line up will surely excite the viewers.

Stars who will perform on the big night are Alt- J, rockers Deftones and Boy Better Know. Deftones will have main stage slot and sub Focus will headline the BBC Radio 1 Dance Stage. There are many more changes planned for next year’s Leeds Festival.

Leeds Festival to Add More Layers

Leeds to add three new stages as they organizers want to add more music to the event of 2013. The increase in entertainment will lead to construction of several stages in the arenas which will increase from six to eight or nine. But, the crowd limit will not be extended.

Organizer Melvin Benn shares that the stages will showcase a variety of music this time.
There are a few changes made in the festival. The arena has been changed at reading and Leeds in a lot many ways. Melvin reveals that the changes have drawn a lot of excitement from the people.

He is still in the process of building many such ideas. Melvin added that he will announce the headliners before Christmas, when he said,” This time, we have included a lot of dance numbers and a lot of other exciting things”.

The festival will be held between 23-25 August in 2013. Leeds festival tickets will be on sale before Christmas. The full set of tickets however, will be on sale in March 2013. This year about 87,000 fans attended the Reading’s Richfield Avenue and 75,000 attended the Leeds at Bramham Park saw performances from headliners Foo Fighters, The Cure and Kasabian.

Changing of the Guard at Leeds Festival

Booker of the renowned Leeds and Reading festival, Neil Pengelly is ready to hand over all his responsibilities at the Festival Republic. He has been working for the last 2o years. It is heard that Pengelly has booked some 2500 bands from his starting of career as a promoter in London in the year 1990.

Not only he has booked the comedy and second stage at the Reading festival, he has also taken over all the musical stages at the festival that was held in the year 1994 along with Leeds. He has spent 19 years at the artistic wheel of the festival which became highly popular that time.

Boss of Festival Republic, Mr. Melvin Benn said about Pengelly that he is a legendary man and it will be a tough act to follow. Benn said that he will be missed by all of us and undoubtedly the rest of the team will be an understatement. But definitely the man will be there to stay in an advisory role and the new member will soon join in behalf of Pengelly.

Both the Leeds and Reading festival are governed by the Festival Public and earlier these festivals used to known as Carling Weekend. The Leeds event or festival is held in Wetherby. For the visitors, campsites are made available and day tickets were also sold. The capacity of this festival has now increased to 80,000 and is expected to increase more in the future. The festival tickets are available the day before the festival starts.

Glastonbury Tickets Sold Out in Record Time

Michael and Emily Eavis announced a complete sell out of all Glastonbury tickets within 1 hour and 40 minutes, which set a new record!

After a year’s gap, the annual ritual of the youth of England drew a huge demand for tickets and a jammed website. There were 135,000 weekend tickets that was priced at £205 went out swiftly than ever. Though there were some technical glitches which caused delays after the sale started at 9 am. A few minutes passed 10:40 am; the official twitter feed of the Glastonbury festival brought out the message of the record sell out and provided a link to another message from the organizers Michael Eavis and Emily Eavis, his daughter. Leeds Festival Offering Refreshments

Leeds Festival organizer Melvin Benn announced that he wishes to reward the weekend ticket holders. The weekend goers to the festival will be offered a free burger and beer every day. The full details of the offer have been released. The vouchers of the food will be sent out along with the tickets from today. The vouchers will be presented to ‘Food for Campers’ vendors at certain designated locations in the campsite till midday. The vouchers will be given out only on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

One food voucher will be valid for each day so that nobody skips breakfast and beer and soft drinks will be given in exchange of wrist band. To have beer one will need to give an age proof as well. Melvin Benn explains that Beer & Burger has turned into Beer and Baps. The foods on offer for breakfast are bacon, scrambled egg, sausage or mushroom Bap. The breakfast will be available between 7:00am and 12:00 pm on all the three days marking the weekend.

The twin festival of Reading and Leeds will take place on bank holiday weekend that starts from 24th Friday to 26th Sunday, August. The Leeds Festival is scheduled to take place at Bramham Park, Leeds, in Yorkshire. The festivals will showcase over 150 acts on 6 stages. Tickets are limited to a maximum of four per person and also per credit card for those who wish to book online. Teenagers of 15 years and under are welcomed but with a ticket holding adult.
