Line-up for Leeds Festival 2015 has been announced

The organizers of Leeds Festival 2015 have revealed that the event’s main stage will be headlined by the heavy-metal band Metallica that includes members like Rob Trujillo, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett, and James Hetfield.

The passes for Leeds 2015 are currently put on sale. This includes an installment plan of 50 pounds. The line-up for the bash also includes other big names like Manchester Orchestra, Run the Jewels, Refused, Wilkinson, Pierce the Veil, and Jamie T. Metallica has already headlined the event thrice and they first headlined it 18 years ago. The person in charge of the festival, Melvin Benn, stated that he’s really excited to declare Metallica as a headliner for Leeds 2015.

The outstanding live performances of Metallica are the favorite with genuine music enthusiasts at this important music festival. The Leeds festival highlights a compilation of outstanding acts from different genres. Melvin also declared the remaining festival line-up that features the finest talents of hip-hop, dance, indie, and rock. This culmination of special talents makes the Leeds festival so special. Jamie T is a hot act of this moment and he is an awesome addition to this line-up. Rap veterans El-P and Killer Mike will make their Leeds festival debut in 2015.

Manchester Orchestra will come for the third time to Leeds festival in 2015, after the launch of their 4th album Cope. The passes for the festival are currently on sale. The weekend passes are priced 205 pounds and an additional fee of 8 pounds is charged for postage and booking. Reading car-parking fee is 10 pounds, lockers fee is 16 pounds, campervan permits 75 pounds, and early-entry permits 20 pounds.

British band booked for 2014 Reading and Leeds

A recent report suggests that a top British rock band has already been booked for the Reading and Leeds Festivals nest year. The organizers of the event have reported stated that one of the top Brit bands in the past ten years has agreed to play in this festival next year.

No details have been revealed about regarding who the band is or whether they would headline the event or not. Organizer Melvin Benn, last month, told that he has already booked 2 headliners for the event in 2014.

Benn told that they have headliners in mind and booked actually. Two of the three are done, the last one they were giving due consideration to. Both of the headliners have played before. The 2014 Reading and Leeds Festivals would take place starting from 22nd August and would go on till 24th August. This year’s festival; was headlined by Eminem, Green Day and Biffy Clyro.

In 2013, Melvin Benn named The Black Keys, Florence + the Machine and Paramore as the probable future headliners.

Get set to be blasted back to the music of 1980s in 2014 as Let’s Rock Leeds! family music gig reveals their first Leeds date. Along with a line up of 1980s music artists, this concert is scheduled for 21st June 2014 at the Temple Newsham.

The event is scheduled for just one day. Still, this includes top acts like Then Jerico, Altered Images, Jaki Graham, Brother Beyond, The Real Thing, Nick Heyward, Alexander O’Neal, Nik Kershaw, ABC, Howard Jones, Kim Wilde and Bananarama.

Tokyo Corner and Dirty Green Vinyl set to battle

Two bands from Huddersfield are in with a position at playing at the Leeds Festival. Both Tokyo Corner and Dirty Green Vinyl have made it to heats of the yearly Futuresound contest at The Cockpit in Leeds. The competition offers unsigned music groups the coveted scope for 1 of 6 festival slots, 5 on BBC Introducing Stage as well as the overall winner taking on the Festival Republic stage.

The promoters based in Leeds have whittled down hundreds and hundreds of hopeful entrants as well as announced the final sixty performers, who will play in one of fifteen dates during June as well as in July. Dirty Green Vinyl’s heat is on 8th July, Monday, while Tokyo Corner will perform on 18th July, Thursday. Tickets for the event are available from bands as well as on the door on the night.

Earlier this week the Reading and Leeds Festival organizers announced yet another wave of music bands for the yearly August bank holiday music festival. The Main line up has been elaborated to include The Pretty Reckless and Don Broco.

Post War Years, Alvin Risk and electronic music pair Pegboard Nerds have all been included to the BBC Radio 1 Dance Stage. Over on the Lock Up/Rock Stage inclusions are Sonic Boom Six, Feed The Rhino, The Creepshow, Palm Reader, Rat Attack, Gnarwolves, Off With Their Heads, Anti Vigilante, Sharks, Chuck Ragan, Great Cynics, Filter, The Virginmarys, Beware Of Darkness Hacktivist and Hawk Eyes.

Green day to headline Reading and Leeds Festival.

Green Day have joined the likes of Eminem and Biffy Clyro to be the 3rd and final headliner for the 2013 Reading and Leeds Festivals. The United States pop punk veteran act from California started their journey in the year 1987 and they broke into the mainstream music in the 1990s with their 3rd album named Dookie that spawned hit tracks such as – When I Come Around and Basket Case. The group would come back to play in the 2013 Reading festival on 23rd August, Friday and also on Leeds Festival, 24th August, Saturday after playing a secret Reading Festival 2nd stage on the final day of 2012’s festival.

On the other hand, Nine Inch Nails would make their live come back to the United Kingdom shores for the very 1st time since the year 2009 when the band played their only United Kingdom shows of 2013 at the Reading Festival on Sunday and at the Leeds Festival on Friday, the band before Biffy Clyro.

Frank Turner would also come back to the Reading festival and Leeds festival, making 2013 his 7th consecutive year at twinned site music festivals and coming back with work from his upcoming 5th solo album called – ‘Tape Deck Heart’. Other acts such as Twin Atlantic, Editors, Chase and Status, The Lumineers, White Lies and Brand New will also be a part of the Main Stage across both music festival sites.
