Glastonbury to offer camping sites

Glastonbury has declared that this year they will offer off site camping places run by the event organizers. This is the very first time when this kind of decision has been taken.

In the year 2011, the festival organizers had arranged this king of facilities but that time a 3rd party was in charge of that. But everything did not work well as around three thousand festival goers had to stay without any accommodation, this year the organizers will take care of it.

The official website revealed that Worthy View, the pre erected off site camping place, will hold around four thousand people. The camping fecilities will be a short walking distance from the actual festival venue. The camp venue will be operated by the event organizers’ team and they will provide different kinds of pre erected tent options.

Michael Eavis, the founder of Glastonbury music festival, told that it is very important to him that they offer the best-value accommodation to the people. They do not want the festival goers paying through the nose; therefore, they have decided to provide some beautiful off site camping themselves and that is very close to the main site.

He added that with tents for 5 nights available for just £100 each person, and even hand crafted yurts are available for £ 150 each person; so, there is no reason that people would pay more somewhere else.

This year, Glastonbury will have artists like The Rolling Stones and Fleetwood Mac.
