Green day to headline Reading and Leeds Festival.

Green Day have joined the likes of Eminem and Biffy Clyro to be the 3rd and final headliner for the 2013 Reading and Leeds Festivals. The United States pop punk veteran act from California started their journey in the year 1987 and they broke into the mainstream music in the 1990s with their 3rd album named Dookie that spawned hit tracks such as – When I Come Around and Basket Case. The group would come back to play in the 2013 Reading festival on 23rd August, Friday and also on Leeds Festival, 24th August, Saturday after playing a secret Reading Festival 2nd stage on the final day of 2012’s festival.

On the other hand, Nine Inch Nails would make their live come back to the United Kingdom shores for the very 1st time since the year 2009 when the band played their only United Kingdom shows of 2013 at the Reading Festival on Sunday and at the Leeds Festival on Friday, the band before Biffy Clyro.

Frank Turner would also come back to the Reading festival and Leeds festival, making 2013 his 7th consecutive year at twinned site music festivals and coming back with work from his upcoming 5th solo album called – ‘Tape Deck Heart’. Other acts such as Twin Atlantic, Editors, Chase and Status, The Lumineers, White Lies and Brand New will also be a part of the Main Stage across both music festival sites.
