New acts announced for 2015 Reading and Leeds festival

More than sixty new acts have been declared for the 2015 Reading and Leeds Festival. Charli XCX, Alt-J, Palma Violets and Twin Atlantic are among bands performing over the bank holiday weekend fest from 28th August to 30th August.

Playing the main stage on Friday (at Reading) and Saturday (at Leeds) are Alt-J, Drenge and Palma Violets while Modestep, Babymetal and FIDLAR will hit the stage on Saturday (at Reading) and Sunday (at Leeds).

The Gaslight Anthem would take the main stage on Sunday (at the Reading) and Friday (at the Leeds), and Against Me! As well as Feed The Rhino. Other performers declared in the weekend include Echosmith, Parquet Courts, Twin Atlantic, Kwabs, AWOLNATION, Nothing But Thieves, The Skints and Ghostpoet.

Playing BBC Radio 1 Dance Stage are Jacob Plant, Charli XCX, Maribou State, Kevin Saunderson (Leeds only), Oliver Dollar (Reading only) LANY and All We Are, as well as MK. Acts such as Dimension x Kove, Secondcity, Blonde Live, Elliphant, Rustie, Evian Christ, TCTS, 99 Souls and Snakehips would also play in the dance tent.

Other acts named for the fest include Pride, Saint Raymond, Ms Dynamite, Little Comets, Tempa T and Lucy Rose. The Libertines, Mumford & Sons and Metallica were earlier declared as the Main Stage headliner acts of the fest this year.
